Pigeon-Toed Rape Suspect Sought by Philadelphia Police

Philadelphia, PA – The Philadelphia Police Department is seeking assistance in identifying a suspect involved in an attempted sexual assault that occurred on East Girard Avenue.

On February 11, at approximately 7:54 PM, a 24-year-old female was followed home from the gym by a male suspect. The incident took place on the 400 block of E. Girard Ave, beginning at Girard at Hope with the suspect last observed walking east on Girard towards Berks St. The Special Victims Unit of the Philadelphia Police Department has released video footage of the suspect in hopes of identifying him.

The suspect is described as a dark-complected black male, estimated to be in his early 30s. He stands between 5’10” and 6 feet tall with a stocky build and a full beard.

He was wearing a brownish-green winter coat, a black hooded sweatshirt featuring a “NIRVANA” logo, black Under Armour track pants with a thick white stripe at the side and base of the legs, and black Under Armour running sneakers with a white sole.

The individual also appears to walk with a distinctive slight “pigeon toe” step.
