A Pennsylvania man, Leroy Brahm, 33, was convicted of murder for brutally beating his girlfriend, Annabel Rose Meenan, 21, to death. The incident occurred on December 4, 2021, in Spring City, according to The Daily Local News.
Brahm faces a mandatory sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole for first-degree murder. However, formal punishments for charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, and recklessly endangering another person will be determined by the judge at a later sentencing date.
Prosecutors stated that jealousy fueled Brahm’s violent actions, as he believed Meenan was involved in a relationship with another man. Despite their participation in a three-way sexual relationship and even going on a cruise together, Brahm became controlling and angry, leading to the fatal beating.
District Attorney Christopher L. de Barrena-Sarobe described the incident as an unfathomable, brutal, and systematic beating that resulted in Meenan’s death.
Authorities found Meenan unresponsive with extensive injuries at a residence on Buttonwood Ave. She was pronounced dead at Phoenixville Hospital.
