Gunfire Erupts on NYC Subway Platform, Six Shot, One Dead

New York, NY – Gunfire erupted Monday night inside a New York City Train Station.

At around 4:47 PM, on the northbound platform of the “4” train, two male suspects brandished firearms and fired multiple shots, injuring six individuals. Following the attack, the assailants escaped on foot, heading north on Jerome Avenue towards Featherbed Lane.

The first suspect is described as a male in his 20s with a light complexion, last seen wearing a black jacket, black hooded sweatshirt, black ski mask, blue ripped jeans, and white/red Air Jordan sneakers.

The second suspect, also in his 20s but with a dark complexion, was wearing a black Northface jacket, gray hooded sweatshirt, black ski mask, dark pants, and black/yellow Air Jordan sneakers.

The NYPD has since confirmed that one person was killed during the incident. The victims range in age from 14 to 71. A 34-year-old man has been confirmed deceased.

Police said the shooting happened as the doors of the trained opened after it arrived at the station.
