NYPD Investigating 167th Street Slashing

The New York City Police Department is investigating an incident that occurred on Wednesday at around 2:55 PM.

According to police, a 32-year-old man was the victim of a violent assault in front of 395 East 167 Street.

Following a verbal altercation that escalated, the victim was attacked by two unknown individuals. The assailants worked together to punch and kick the victim across his body and slashed his face. Following the attack, the individuals fled the scene heading eastbound on East 167th Street by foot. The victim was subsequently transported by EMS to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

The first assailant is described as a male, around 5’10” tall, with a medium complexion and a slim build. His attire at the time included a black hooded sweatshirt, gray jeans, and black and white sneakers.

The second assailant is described as a male, approximately 5’8” tall, with a dark complexion and a medium build. He was distinguished by a multicolored head scarf, a green jacket with a purple hooded sweatshirt underneath, blue jeans, and black boots.

Authorities are actively seeking information on the suspects involved in this assault and encourage anyone with knowledge of the incident or the individuals to come forward to aid the investigation.
