Monroe Township, NJ – In a heartwarming community outreach, the Monroe Township Police Department (MTPD) in partnership with the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 125 – NJ spent their afternoon at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Delaware, offering support and a warm meal to families in need. Situated near Nemours Children’s Hospital, the Ronald McDonald House plays a crucial role in providing comfort to families during challenging times.
The officers, demonstrating their culinary skills, prepared and served a tailgate-themed dinner that included Philly cheesesteaks, sausage and peppers, macaroni and cheese, and fries, catering to the tastes and preferences of each family member. This act of kindness was not just about the food; it was a gesture of solidarity and support for those going through difficult periods.
Furthering their commitment to the cause, the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 125 – NJ contributed by donating the funds raised through their “No Shave December” initiative. This financial support will go a long way in ensuring that the Ronald McDonald House can continue to offer its essential services to families.
The event was made possible by the generous donations from Sam’s Club-Williamstown and Cacia’s Bakery, who supplied the ingredients needed for the dinner. Their contributions underscore the community’s collective effort to provide comfort and support to families staying at the Ronald McDonald House.
This initiative highlights the MTPD and FOP’s dedication to community service, showing that beyond their duty to protect and serve, they are committed to making a positive impact in the lives of those in need. The Monroe Township Police Department extends its gratitude to Sam’s Club-Williamstown, Cacia’s Bakery, and all those involved in making this event a success, demonstrating the power of community and the difference that kindness can make.
