Chick-fil-A App Customers Eligible for Compensation in New Jersey and New York Lawsuit Settlement
Chick-FIl-A

TRENTON, NJ – In a recent legal development, Chick-fil-A, Inc. has reached a settlement in a class action lawsuit alleging false or misleading representations about delivery fees and menu prices on orders made through the Chick-fil-A One App or website. This settlement pertains to orders placed between November 1, 2019, and April 30, 2021, from locations in specific states.

The lawsuit claimed that Chick-fil-A misrepresented delivery charges and the prices of items when ordered for delivery. Chick-fil-A has denied these allegations, maintaining that no wrongful conduct occurred. The Court has yet to make a final decision regarding the merits of the case.

Individuals who placed a delivery order through Chick-fil-A’s app or website during the specified period from California, Florida, Georgia, New Jersey, or New York locations are eligible members of the settlement class. These class members are entitled to submit a claim for a cash settlement award of up to $29.25 or opt for a gift card of equal value under the terms of the settlement.

The settlement delineates five subclasses based on the state of the Chick-fil-A location from which the order was placed:

  • California Settlement Subclass
  • Florida Settlement Subclass
  • Georgia Settlement Subclass
  • New Jersey Settlement Subclass
  • New York Settlement Subclass

Class members are encouraged to file a claim to receive their portion of the settlement. The agreement aims to resolve disputes over delivery fee disclosures and pricing practices without further litigation.
