ANNAPOLIS, MD – The Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Criminal Gang Unit, in coordination with the Department of Detention Facilities Security Threat Group, conducted a successful operation against narcotics smuggling within their facility.
During January, detectives identified 32-year-old Lamonte De’Andre Henson from District Heights as a suspect in illegal possession and distribution of CDS.
On January 17, Henson was detained and found in possession of numerous orange sub-lingual film strips, suspected to be Suboxone.
He now faces charges including possession of CDS (not cannabis), intent to distribute, and possession of contraband in a confinement facility. An arrest warrant served on January 22, formalized these charges.
This operation represents a collaborative effort between the Maryland State Police, Anne Arundel County Police, and Department of Detention Facilities under the Maryland Criminal Intelligence Network, supported by the Governor’s Office of Crime Prevention and Policy.
