Dover Resident Arrested for Possession of Lewd Images of Children

DOVER, NJ – The Morris County Prosecutor’s Office announced the arrest of Richard FerrarieLofredo, a 37-year-old Dover resident, on charges related to child sex abuse material (CSAM). The arrest, made on January 12, followed a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).

FerrarieLofredo is charged with endangering the welfare of a child for possessing CSAM, a third-degree crime.

The investigation revealed media files uploaded to Reddit, allegedly depicting the sexual exploitation or abuse of minors. Additional CSAM was found on an electronic device in FerrarieLofredo’s possession.

After his arrest, FerrarieLofredo was released under the Criminal Justice Reform Act with conditions including monitoring and no internet usage.

The Dover Police Department and the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force conducted the investigation. The public is asked to contact the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office with any relevant information.
