66-Year-Old Man Found Shot And Killed in Vehicle in D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred in Southeast Washington, D.C., on Thursday evening.

Around 6 p.m., officers were called to the 4000 block of Pennsylvania Avenue following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered a man suffering from gunshot wounds inside a vehicle. Despite immediate attention, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The deceased has been identified as Sherman Bunch, a 66-year-old resident of Northeast D.C. The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain unclear, and detectives from the MPD’s Homicide Branch are seeking the public’s assistance in gathering more information.
