NYC Woman Victim of Random Slashing, Facial Laceration Reported

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is seeking assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a recent assault.

On Friday, January 12, at approximately 4:00 pm, a 16-year-old female was attacked while walking on the sidewalk in front of 3777 White Plains Road.

The suspect, an unidentified male, slashed the victim’s face, causing serious physical injury. She was subsequently transported by Emergency Medical Services to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi, where she is currently in serious but stable condition.

The suspect, who fled the scene on foot, traveling southbound on White Plains Road and then westbound on East 216th Street, remains at large.
