Baltimore Police Arrest Two Suspects in Southeast District Carjacking

In a rapid response to an armed carjacking, Baltimore police successfully apprehended two suspects on the evening of January 18, 2024. The initial incident occurred at approximately 6:27 PM in the 800 block of Ramsey Street.

According to the complainants, as they exited their vehicle, they were approached by two unidentified male suspects. One suspect brandished a handgun and demanded the victims’ property. After obtaining the victims’ belongings, the suspects fled the scene in the stolen vehicle. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the carjacking.

In a coordinated effort, members of the Baltimore Police Department’s Foxtrot (Aviation Unit), Southeast District Patrol units, Metro Mobile Unit (MMU), and Northeast District Action Team located and arrested the suspects at approximately 8:42 PM. The apprehension took place in the 3500 block of Pulaski Highway.

The suspects, a 21-year-old male and a 17-year-old male, were transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility. Charges against them are pending. This swift and successful operation demonstrates the effectiveness of the coordinated efforts of various units within the Baltimore Police Department in addressing violent crimes in the city.
