BRONX, NY — Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark announced today the sentencing of Kalvin Robinson, 32, of 305 East 153rd Street, to 25 years in prison. Robinson pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree Manslaughter and second-degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon for the fatal shooting of two men and the wounding of another in Claremont. The shootings were in retaliation for the killing of his brother in the summer of 2020.
The incident, marked by violence and tragedy, occurred at 8:00 p.m. on July 5, 2020, inside 306 East 171st Street. Robinson and co-defendant Nasir Greene opened fire, killing Eghosa Imafidon, 26, and Joel Baba, 22, and injuring Mohammed Baba, 29. Imafidon and Joel Baba sustained multiple gunshot wounds, resulting in their deaths, while Mohammed Baba was shot in the arm.
Bronx Supreme Court Justice Margaret Clancy sentenced Robinson on January 17, 2024, to 25 years for each of the Manslaughter counts, to run concurrently, and 15 years for the weapon charge, also to run concurrently with the Manslaughter sentence. Robinson’s sentence includes five years of post-release supervision. Co-defendant Nasir Greene, who also pleaded guilty, awaits sentencing.
