EAST PETERSBURG, PA – A severe traffic accident occurred on Friday, at approximately 3:51 pm at the intersection of Main St (SR 72) and Martin Dr. in East Petersburg Borough.
The Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Department (NLCRPD) responded to reports of a collision involving a scooter.
Upon arrival, officers found a male in his 20s with life-threatening injuries. He was hit by a silver Nissan Pathfinder while riding his electric scooter.
The initial investigation indicates that the scooter rider failed to stop at the intersection before being struck.
The injured individual was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. The NLCRPD continues to investigate the incident and encourages anyone with information to contact Officer Mitch Nauman.
