OMAHA, NE — In a shocking incident, Alyssa K. Roman, 31, has been accused of murdering her boyfriend, Alan Critser, 33, in a grisly attack at a home in Omaha, Nebraska, on December 29, 2023. The Omaha Police Department and local news sources, including KETV, have provided details on the case.
According to police reports, Roman allegedly forced entry into the residence on N. 55th Plaza and used Critser’s shotgun to fatally shoot him. The attack was so severe that it resulted in Critser’s head being nearly severed from his body, with injuries to the torso and neck.
Following the shooting, Roman reportedly fled to a nearby home. She was eventually apprehended by police after exiting the back of the second residence. At the time of her arrest, Roman was partially clothed and exhibited signs of excited delirium, necessitating her transport to a hospital.
Investigators discovered disturbing evidence at the crime scene, including skull and brain matter in the hallway and Critser’s body in the upstairs master bedroom with a gunshot wound to the head.
The authorities have suggested no immediate motive.
