NEW YORK, NY – A 78-year-old man fell victim to a robbery and assault in front of a business located at 655 Fifth Avenue on Monday, December 25. The attack occurred at around 8:50 PM when an unidentified individual approached the elderly man from behind and punched him multiple times in the head.
This assault caused the victim to fall to the ground. The assailant then took money and a cigarette from the victim’s hand before fleeing the scene on foot, heading south on Fifth Avenue. Despite sustaining minor injuries, the victim declined medical attention.
The police are on the lookout for the suspect, described as a male around 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet tall, with a slim build, curly hair, and a medium complexion. He was last spotted wearing blue sweatpants, black sneakers, and a black sweatshirt. The authorities urge anyone with information regarding this incident to come forward to aid in the investigation.
