ALEXANDRIA, VA – A carjacking pursuit led by the Arlington County Police Department ended in Alexandria after the suspect crashed into an Alexandria Police Department (APD) cruiser at the intersection of N. Quaker Lane and Preston Road.
The incident, which unfolded earlier today, involved APD assisting Arlington County PD in the chase of a carjacked vehicle. The pursuit came to a halt when the suspect collided with an APD officer’s cruiser.
The suspect, who was unharmed, was immediately apprehended at the scene. The officer involved in the crash sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment. The incident caused temporary disruptions in the area but has since been contained, with investigations ongoing.
