LANCASTER, PA – Arturo Aleman, a 47-year-old resident of Lancaster, has been sentenced to a prison term ranging from 10 to 20 years following his guilty plea last Wednesday.
Aleman, residing on Green Street, faced charges for the rape of a child and 13 related offenses.
The offenses occurred between 2016 and 2022, involving the sexual abuse and covert filming of a minor.
Judge Dennis Reinaker imposed the sentence, which includes an additional five years of probation. The prosecution led by Assistant District Attorney Elizabeth Lapp brought forward evidence of Aleman’s heinous acts.
The investigation, spearheaded by Detective Jessica Higgins of the Lancaster City Bureau of Police, began in October 2022 after the now 16-year-old victim disclosed the abuse. Aleman’s crimes, committed while he was the sole caretaker, included drilling a hole in a shower wall to film the victim.
