EDGEWOOD, MD – Jayce Daimon Billips, 22, and Sede Kenyon Baker, 23, were arrested following a high-speed chase after allegedly robbing the Mystic Mart in Edgewood at gunpoint. The incident occurred in the 1700 block of Hanson Road over the weekend.

The Harford County Sheriff’s Office reported that the chase began around 8 a.m. on Saturday, January 6. A deputy tried to stop a speeding white Volkswagen sedan near Route 152 and I-95, but the driver sped away, initiating the pursuit.

During the robbery, Billips and Baker reportedly used a handgun and fled with an undisclosed sum of cash and a black iPhone. The getaway vehicle matched the Volkswagen involved in the chase.

The pursuit ended near Edgewood Road and Emmorton Park Road, where the suspects were apprehended. Officers recovered cash, a black iPhone, drugs, and a small blue backpack containing a handgun along the pursuit route.

Billips and Baker were “charged accordingly” and are currently held at the Harford County Detention Center without bond, awaiting their initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner.
