HOUSTON, TX – A 52-year-old rapper known as Viper, whose real name is Lee Carter, has been charged in Texas with the alleged kidnapping and long-term imprisonment of a woman. According to a probable cause arrest affidavit, Houston police responded to a kidnapping in progress on April 7, 2023, at Carter’s residence.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the woman in a dire state. She was found “extremely malnourished,” weighing about 70 pounds, with poor hygiene, and locked in a garage with boarded-up windows. The garage contained a non-functional toilet, a sink, a mattress, a large television, and some food items.

The woman reported that approximately four to five years earlier, while she was pregnant and panhandling in Houston, Carter offered her help and she entered his car. She stated that Carter then locked her in his garage and forced her into a relationship. During her captivity, she was made to engage in sexual acts with Carter, consume pills, and use crack cocaine against her will.
