Seven Puppies Found, One Still Missing in D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The D.C. Metro Police Department reported the return of seven out of eight stolen puppies stolen Saturday afternoon. A community member handed the puppies over to a local police station, reuniting them with their owner. Authorities continue their search for the remaining puppy.

The theft occurred on Saturday, around 12:57 p.m., in the 1700 block of U Street in Southeast D.C. The owner left their vehicle running and unlocked, which the thief exploited to steal the vehicle with eight puppies inside. While the vehicle and seven puppies were recovered, one is still missing.

Images of the seven returned puppies are available. The missing puppy is a 5-week-old American Bull Dog, dark with white markings.
