INDIANAPOLIS, IN – In a shocking incident, 19-year-old Khalil Malik McCraney and his father, 44-year-old Tyjuan Darryl McCraney, are facing serious charges following a shooting at an apartment complex in Muncie, Indiana. Khalil McCraney allegedly ambushed a woman, shooting her four times, though she survived the attack.

Indianapolis Fox affiliate WXIN reported that Khalil McCraney claimed self-defense, stating he fired his semi-automatic rifle almost 10 times out of fear. However, police refuted this statement, noting that 31 rounds were found at the scene and surveillance footage indicated the victim was unaware of McCraney’s presence, suggesting an ambush.

Further investigation revealed the alleged involvement of Tyjuan Darryl McCraney, who is accused of driving his son to the scene and providing him with the rifle as part of a murder plot.

The incident unfolded when officers in Muncie responded to a shots fired call on Tuesday. The victim was found having been shot while inside her car at her apartment complex. Despite the gunfire, which shattered the front driver’s window, she managed to escape.
