Gruesome Discovery As Man's Remains Found in D.C. Trash Can

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A chilling case has emerged in Southwest Washington, D.C., as detectives from the D.C. Metro Police Department’s Homicide Branch investigate a man’s death under horrifying circumstances.

The grim discovery was made on Wednesday morning, around 9:23 a.m., in the 1400 block of Canal Street in Southwest. D.C. Responding to a report, police officers found human remains, identified as those of an adult male, concealed inside a trash can. An autopsy conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has since confirmed the death as a homicide.

Currently, the victim’s identity remains undisclosed, pending notification of next of kin.
