NEWARK, NJ – Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé announced the issuance of an arrest warrant for Kizzy Polk, 46, of Newark, in connection with an aggravated assault involving a deadly weapon. The incident occurred on January 3, 2024, involving a box cutter.
At around 6:49 p.m., the victim, residing in Bradley Court, an apartment complex on N. Munn Avenue, answered a knock at her door. Polk, who was later identified as the assailant, allegedly used a box cutter to slash the victim on her forehead and cheek. The victim received medical treatment at University Hospital following the attack.
Polk, who is frequently seen on Chelsea Avenue in Newark, is described as a Black female, 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing about 200 pounds, with brown eyes, black hair, and a medium complexion.
Director Fragé is calling for public assistance in locating Polk. Anyone with information about her whereabouts is urged to contact the Newark Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). Tips provided to the Crime Stopper line are kept confidential and could lead to a reward.
