Memorial Service for Pennsylvania Police Officer Who Died Suddenly on New Year's Eve

WYOMISSING, PA – Courtney P. Dupree, 28, of Wyomissing, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023, at her residence. Married to Daniel L. Snyder since June 10, 2021, Courtney was a devoted wife, beloved family member, and a dedicated police officer.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of David R. Dupree of Valrico, FL, and Carina J. Dupree of Ocean Isle Beach, NC. A 2013 graduate of Muhlenberg High School, she furthered her passion for law enforcement by completing her training at the Reading Police Academy in 2020. Courtney served the community as a police officer for the Reading Police Department and was a member of Reading Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 9.

An avid animal lover, particularly of dogs, Courtney also enjoyed baking bread, gardening, attending concerts, and was a passionate fan of all Philadelphia sports teams. She practiced yoga and cherished time spent with her family.

She leaves behind her husband Daniel, parents David and Carina, brother Derick R. Dupree and his wife Nicole, along with her niece and nephew. Courtney is also survived by her paternal grandparents, Barbara A. Smith and William D. Smith of Hamburg, her maternal grandfather Gerald Venuti, and several aunts, uncles, and a great-aunt. She was predeceased by her paternal grandfather Bradley D. Dupree and maternal grandmother Jan Cameron.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024, at 12:00 pm at Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport, PA 19533. The service will honor and celebrate Courtney’s life and her contributions to her community and loved ones.
