Two Illinois Lottery Players Win $425,000 Each in Lucky Day Lotto

CHICAGO, IL — The New Year started with a stroke of luck for two Illinois Lottery players, each winning $425,000 in the Lucky Day Lotto jackpot. The winning tickets were purchased for the Sunday, December 31, evening drawing.

The lucky tickets were sold at Mr Quik-Ezz, 980 S. Bartlett Rd., Bartlett, and a BP gas station at 5601 Dempster St., Morton Grove. Both winners matched all five numbers in the drawing: 5, 12, 15, 22, and 28, to secure their respective jackpots.

In addition to the winners, the retailers that sold the winning tickets will also benefit, receiving a one percent selling bonus of $4,250 each.

The Lucky Day Lotto drawing on Sunday evening proved fortunate for many, with over 31,000 winning tickets sold, culminating in more than $931,000 in total prizes. Throughout 2023, the Lucky Day Lotto has seen over 12 million winning tickets, leading to over $70 million in prizes for Illinois Lottery players.
