GREENPORT, NY — Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney today announced the indictment of Tammy Webster, 33, and Victoria Webster, 30, from Greenport, on charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and other related offenses. The sisters allegedly had fentanyl and cocaine in their residence where their two-year-old child lived.
District Attorney Tierney highlighted the severity of the situation, noting the presence of deadly drugs in close proximity to food items and the potential risk to their child. On December 5, a search warrant executed at their Greenport home by the East End Drug Task Force led to the discovery of the substances.
According to the investigation, on December 5, 2023, members of the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office East End Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at the defendants’ Greenport residence. As the officers approached the home, Tammy Webster was observed to be sitting inside her vehicle, which was parked in the driveway, and allegedly in possession of fentanyl and cocaine. When law enforcement officers entered the residence, they saw Victoria Webster with the couple’s two-year-old child. During a search of the defendants’ home, officers allegedly discovered 234 grams of fentanyl and 44 grams of cocaine inside a kitchen cabinet. Next to food items such as ice cream cones and brownie mix.
“These two defendants were allegedly in possession of fentanyl and cocaine, which are two of the deadliest drugs poisoning our neighborhoods,” said District Attorney Tierney. “To make matters worse, these drugs were allegedly found near food items which could have turned deadly if those items were consumed by others, including their innocent child.”
Upon arrival, Tammy Webster was found in her vehicle with alleged possession of fentanyl and cocaine. Inside the residence, Victoria Webster was with their child. Officers found 234 grams of fentanyl and 44 grams of cocaine in a kitchen cabinet alongside common food items. Additionally, a digital scale, drug packaging materials, multiple cell phones, and over $50,000 in cash were recovered. The Suffolk County Crime Laboratory confirmed the presence of fentanyl and cocaine in the seized materials.
Tammy Webster faces multiple charges including Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First and Third Degrees, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Similarly, Victoria Webster is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First and Third Degrees, among other charges.
Both were arraigned on December 18 before Acting Supreme Court Justice John B. Collins, who set bail at $150,000 cash, $1.5 million bond, or $1.5 million partially secured bond.
