WASHINGTON, DC — In a late-night incident, a 51-year-old man was fatally shot while inside a vehicle in Northeast Washington, D.C. Police are actively investigating and seeking information from the public.
The incident occurred near Elliott-Hine Middle School, on the 300 block of 17th Street, shortly before midnight on Thursday. Responding officers discovered Freddie Lee Crawford inside a vehicle, suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite immediate attention, Crawford was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department has announced a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the shooting.
