Driver Fleeing From Police Lands Car in Swiming Pool

PITTSBURGH, PA – In a dramatic turn of events, the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police successfully apprehended Jeremy Neal following a high-speed chase. The pursuit, originating in the city, ended dramatically with Neal’s vehicle crashing into a swimming pool in Forest Hills, near the Ardmore Boulevard exit off the Parkway East.

This incident follows a recent altercation involving Neal and deputies from the Sheriff’s office. Sheriff Kevin M. Kraus reported that Neal, 31, was sought after brandishing a handgun during an encounter with deputies on Wednesday night near the BP Station on East Carson Street. Neal, having addresses in both Braddock and the West End of Pittsburgh, was identified by deputies through his vehicle registration and was known to be wanted by Braddock Borough Police for a firearms violation.

The confrontation escalated when Neal, upon being approached by deputies, pulled out a silver handgun from his coat pocket and dropped it onto the back seat, only to reach for it again. Despite attempts to detain him, Neal fled in his vehicle, driving recklessly through a construction area on East Carson Street, endangering construction workers and causing property damage.
