CHICAGO, IL – Two individuals, including a 17-year-old male juvenile and 19-year-old Brian Davis, were arrested and charged with armed robbery in Chicago.
The 17-year-old, whose identity remains undisclosed due to his juvenile status, faces one felony count of armed robbery with a firearm and one felony count of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon/person under 21. Meanwhile, Davis, a resident of the 1600 block of S. Trumbull Avenue, is charged with one felony count each of armed robbery with a firearm, unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, and aggravated unlawful use of a loaded weapon without a FOID (Firearm Owner’s Identification) card. Additionally, an issuance of a warrant has been noted for Davis.
Both offenders were apprehended on December 27, the juvenile at 6:22 a.m. in the 2700 block of W. Polk and Davis at 6:06 a.m. in the 800 block of S. California. They are accused of robbing a 28-year-old man at gunpoint in the 2400 block of W. Taylor, in the 11th District, less than an hour before their arrest. Responding officers were able to quickly locate and arrest the offenders.
A detention hearing for both individuals is scheduled for December 28 at 2600 S. California.
