Brick Township Police Report Increase in Shoplifting Arrests in December

BRICK TOWNSHIP, NJ – The Brick Township Street Crimes Unit (SCU) has reported an increase in shoplifting incidents and arrests during the month of December, particularly at Target and Ulta stores in the area.

The SCU’s active response led to several arrests:

  • On December 1, 2023, Darien Wagner, 49, from Brooklyn, NY, was arrested for shoplifting at Target. Wagner was processed and released on a summons.
  • Jacquelyn Best, 38, from Toms River, was arrested on December 6, 2023, for shoplifting at Ulta. Best was processed and lodged in Ocean County Jail. On the same day, Adrianna Nieves, 19, from Lakewood, was also arrested and charged with shoplifting at Ulta, and later released on a summons.
  • On December 15, 2023, SCU responded to a shoplifting call at Target, resulting in the arrest of Sara Reagoso, 34, of Browns Mills, and Ronald Kay 3rd, 32, of Pemberton. Both faced multiple charges, including possession of heroin and methamphetamine, shoplifting, and operating a stolen motor vehicle. They were lodged in Ocean County Jail.
  • On December 21, 2023, Patrol Units apprehended Daniel Leon-Forero, 39, of Queens, NY, at Ulta. Leon-Forero was charged with shoplifting and possession of shoplifting tools, and was lodged in Ocean County Jail following a vehicle impoundment and search warrant application by the SCU.
