NEW YORK CITY, NY – A stabbing incident in a Manhattan subway station has prompted a police investigation. The attack took place on Saturday, December 23, at around 9:00 PM, at the intersection of 42nd Street and 8th Avenue.

According to reports, a 23-year-old man was involved in a verbal dispute with an unidentified assailant. The argument escalated, leading to the assailant attempting to seize the victim’s cellphone. During the altercation, the victim was stabbed in the torso. The perpetrator fled the scene on foot. The victim received medical attention from EMS and was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Bellevue, where he is listed in stable condition.

The suspect is described as a male with a light complexion, about 5 feet 5 inches tall. He was last seen wearing black pants and a white jersey adorned with gold lettering that reads “Legend.”
