KENT COUNTY, MD — A longstanding tradition of playing Maryland Lottery scratch-off games paid off for a Kent County mother, who recently won $50,000 on the Money Bag Multiplier game. The win came as a delightful surprise to both her and her daughter, with whom she shares the lottery-playing hobby.
The winning $10 ticket was purchased at Lewes Dairy Market, located at 840 High Street in Chestertown. The mother’s excitement was so palpable that she eagerly shared the news with her daughter.
“I shook her! She’s my rock,” the mother recounted about her daughter’s reaction to the win.
This victory marks her first major win. The mother plans to use the prize money to provide financial assistance to her large family. Both mother and daughter have a preference for $10 scratch-off games and intend to continue their lottery endeavors. The daughter expressed hopeful anticipation, saying, “Maybe I’m next (to win).”
The Money Bag Multiplier scratch-off game, which launched in April, initially offered a $100,000 top prize and a second-tier prize of $50,000. Following this win, two $50,000 second-tier prizes remain, along with a single $100,000 top prize, nine $10,000 prizes, and several other smaller prizes ranging from $10 to $1,000.
