Man Found Dead After Home Invasion At Cumberland County Townhome

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, PA – A shooting incident in the Teakwood Forest townhome development resulted in a man’s death early Wednesday morning, as reported by the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies arrived at the 500 block of Directive Drive at approximately 7:40 a.m., following a breaking and entering alert. They found a man with gunshot wounds outside a residence, who was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Lieutenant Patrice Bogertey clarified that the deceased was not the individual who made the 911 call. The victim’s identity has not been released. A woman’s 911 call, as per police radio archives, indicated she shot an intruder in her home.

The Sheriff’s Office emphasized that this was an isolated incident with no ongoing threat to public safety, as all involved parties are known to each other.
