BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA – Gerald William Spoto, a 41-year-old resident of Disk Lane in Bristol Township, was charged on Tuesday, with multiple counts of sexual assault involving four boys.
The incidents, dating back to between 2000 and 2004, occurred while Spoto was employed at the Neshaminy Kids Club after-school program.
Spoto faces serious charges, including eight counts of indecent assault of a person less than 13, four counts of corruption of minors, and others.
He was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Terrence Hughes and is currently held at the Bucks County Correctional Facility with bail set at $1 million. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for January 3.
The Middletown Township Police Department’s detectives reopened two inactive reports from 2013 and 2017, leading to the discovery of these cases. The victims, aged between 7 and 13 at the time of the assaults, encountered Spoto through his role in the after-school program. In some instances, Spoto was also hired to babysit the children.
