SHIPPENSBURG, PA – The Shippensburg Police Department (SPD) has made multiple arrests following an investigation into a shooting incident.
Three 14-year-old juveniles, including the shooter, and 20-year-old Ashis Rai were implicated in the event.
The incident, involving firing into an apartment, occurred with Rai facilitating the juveniles’ actions. Rai was arraigned on charges including attempted homicide and is currently in Cumberland County Prison without bail.
The firearm, identified as stolen, was recovered. The SPD collaborated with multiple agencies in this investigation and extends thanks to community members for their assistance.
The case is currently under the management of the Cumberland County Juvenile Probation Department.
