Bucks County Music Teacher Charged After Police Found This On His Computer

BUCKS COUNTY, PA – The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office announced charges against Christopher Bygott, a 47-year-old music instructor from Hamilton, N.J., for possessing child [censored]ography. The arrest took place on Tuesday.

Bygott surrendered to the police and faces charges of possessing child [censored]ography and criminal use of a communication facility, both felonies.

Magisterial District Judge Jan Vislosky arraigned him, and he was released on $250,000 unsecured bail, with specific conditions.

The investigation, led by Detectives with the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office, began on December 5 after receiving CyberTips linked to Bygott’s IP address. A forensic examination of his cellphone uncovered over 2,000 images and videos of child sexual abuse.

Bygott, employed by the Pennsbury School District as a curriculum coordinator, is now under the prosecution of Chief Deputy District Attorney Matt Lannetti.
