I Have an IED In My Car: Lancaster Man Charged for Threat of Mass Destruction

LANCASTER COUNTY, PA – Pharohe Jahcovi Scott, a 22-year-old resident of York, was charged with making threats involving weapons of mass destruction.

The charges, filed by West Hempfield Township Police, stem from an incident in May.

On May 11, police responded to Americold Logistics in Mountville after a note stating, “I have a IED in my car,” was discovered.

Law enforcement, including K-9 units, secured the area. Investigations led to Scott, who worked at the site and was responsible for the area where the note was found.

Scott, presumed innocent until proven guilty, is held on $1,500 bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled before Magisterial District Judge Miles Bixler.
