Hackensack Man Arrested on Sexual Assault and Child Endangerment Charges

HACKENSACK, NJ – Hector Tangamasi-Shique, a Hackensack resident, has been arrested on charges involving the sexual assault of a minor.

The arrest was announced by Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella, with the investigation conducted under the guidance of Chief Jason Love of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and Captain Michael Antista of the Hackensack Police Department.

The case came to light on Friday, when the Hackensack Police Department informed the Special Victims Unit of the alleged assault. Tangamasi-Shique, identified as a car wash attendant, is accused of sexually assaulting a child under the age of 16 in Hackensack.

He faces charges including first-degree aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

Following the investigation, Tangamasi-Shique was apprehended in Paramus, NJ, and is currently being held at the Bergen County Jail pending his court appearance.
