PASADENA, MD – A series of attempted robberies at local businesses in Pasadena yesterday led to the arrest of a 16-year-old male suspect. The incidents, which involved the display of a handgun, occurred at a Walgreens and a Dunkin store.

At approximately 11:58 a.m., officers were called to the Walgreens at 8491 Ft. Smallwood Road following a robbery report. A white male suspect, wearing a face mask and armed with a handgun, attempted to rob the store but fled with only one item after the clerk refused to comply.

Shortly after, a similar incident was reported at the Dunkin at 111 Kenwood Road. The suspect, matching the description from the Walgreens attempt, displayed a handgun and demanded cash. The employee did not comply, and the suspect left empty-handed.

Detectives identified and located the 17-year-old suspect at his residence. A search resulted in the seizure of a black Glock pellet gun and a black 9mm unserialized semi-automatic handgun. The juvenile is now in custody, facing charges related to the attempted robberies.
