PALM COAST, FL – Early last Wednesday, Flagler County Sheriff’s Office deputies successfully apprehended Arbey Bartolon-Valazquez, a fugitive from Jacksonville, using Rapid ID technology.

The arrest occurred during a traffic stop at the intersection of Matanzas Woods and Lakeview Parkway in Palm Coast.

Bartolon-Valazquez, who was a passenger in the vehicle, initially provided false identities to the officers. However, the use of Rapid ID technology enabled deputies to confirm his identity and his status as a fugitive wanted for Sexual Battery and Burglary.

He was immediately arrested for Providing a False Name to Law Enforcement Officers and for the active warrant.

The driver, Lauro Perez Perez, was also arrested for Driving Without a Driver’s License and later released. The Rapid ID system, a key tool in the deputies’ arsenal, helps quickly identify individuals and access their criminal histories.
