WILMINGTON, DE – Delaware State Police are actively investigating an attempted armed robbery that unfolded at a Dunkin’ Donuts on Thursday evening.
On December 14, 2023, at approximately 4:58 p.m., troopers responded to an armed robbery report at the Dunkin’ Donuts situated at 1700 Marsh Road in North Wilmington. According to the preliminary investigation, an unidentified female suspect entered the establishment and confronted the baristas while brandishing a knife. The suspect issued threats to stab the victims unless they handed over money. In a bid for safety, the victims did not comply with the demands and managed to escape by fleeing the scene. The suspect, in turn, made her escape in an unknown direction. Despite efforts, troopers were unable to locate the suspect, and fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
The suspect is described as a black female armed with a knife. Currently, there is no available surveillance video or images related to the case.
