COLLIER COUNTY, FL – A fentanyl trafficking arrest has been recently made by the Collier County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO). Ana Luisa Gonzalez, a 54-year-old convicted felon, faces new charges for selling fentanyl.
Gonzalez, with a history of arrests dating back to 2003, sold 6.8 grams of fentanyl to an undercover detective in March 2022.
This amount of fentanyl could potentially kill over 3,000 people.
On Tuesday, CCSO Vice and Narcotics Bureau detectives arrested Gonzalez in jail, charging her with trafficking in fentanyl 4 grams or more.
Gonzalez was already in custody for trafficking cocaine and methamphetamine, with detectives having found significant quantities of illicit drugs in her possession during an April 22 arrest.
