Three Teens Arrested for Carjacking in Bethesda

BETHESDA, MD – A carjacking in Bethesda has resulted in the arrest of three teenagers, ages 18, 16, and 15. The incident occurred on Tuesday, around 12:54 a.m. on the 7700 block of Woodmont Ave.

A 72-year-old woman was attacked from behind and knocked to the ground by two individuals who then demanded her car keys and personal property.

The suspects fled in her 2023 Honda Fit. The Montgomery County Department of Police responded and later located the vehicle.

All three suspects were apprehended and charged with carjacking, assault, and robbery. The 18-year-old and the 16-year-old are held at the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, while the 15-year-old is in a juvenile detention center.

The 16-year-old and 15-year-old also face charges for separate carjacking incidents in Rockville and Wheaton.
