String of Shootings Across Philadelphia Leaves One Dead, Three Injured

PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Philadelphia Police Department is investigating three separate shooting incidents occurred on Saturday which left one man dead and three others injured.

The first incident occurred just before 6:30 p.m. on the 5700 block of Elmwood Avenue. A 38-year-old man was shot multiple times in the lower body and rushed to a nearby hospital for surgery.

Shortly thereafter, at around 7 p.m., a second shooting took place at the corner of 34th Street and Fairmount Avenue. A 35-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to his hand and was transported to a hospital, where he is currently stable.

The third incident, a fatal shooting, occurred just after 7:30 p.m. on the 5300 block of North 5th Street. Details regarding this incident were not fully disclosed in the report.

No arrests have been made in any of these cases, and investigations are ongoing.
