FORT MYERS, FL — Early this morning, around 2:05 AM, Lee County deputies were dispatched to Iguana Mia’s corporate office in an industrial plaza on Topaz Court, Fort Myers. Upon arrival, they found 43-year-old Sandra Escobar in a blue GMC SUV with significant front-end damage.
Investigations revealed that Escobar had driven to the location to confront her husband following an argument. After her husband refused to leave the closed office, Escobar confessed to intentionally ramming the SUV into the building’s rear overhead garage door, causing the doors to become inoperable and damaging her vehicle.
The incident resulted in damages estimated at $40,000. Escobar was arrested at the scene and transported to the Marceno Motel, facing charges related to the incident. Sheriff Carmine Marceno commented on the reckless nature of the act and commended the swift actions of the responding team.
