Shooting on Elm Street in Central Islip Leaves One Injured

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY – A shooting incident occurred around 5:10 p.m. Wednesday on Elm Street in Central Islip, leaving a 29-year-old man seriously injured.

Suffolk Police responded to the scene, securing the area with crime scene tape and investigating a semi-attached home.

Reports indicate that the victim, possibly transported by a relative to another location, was later taken to a hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Neighbor Elliot Cassas recounted hearing a loud argument followed by gunshots, immediately contacting the police.

The Suffolk Police have yet to make any arrests related to this incident.
