Altercation at Pittsburgh Greyhound Station Leads to Police Shooting

PITTSBURGH, PA – A violent altercation at the Downtown Pittsburgh Greyhound station on Wednesday morning led to a police-involved shooting.

The incident, which started on a bus and spilled into the station’s concourse, escalated when a man threatened another with a knife. Members of the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office, present at the scene, intervened.

After the suspect refused to drop the weapon, an agent discharged their duty weapon, critically injuring him.

No stabbings were reported, but another individual involved in the altercation sustained a head injury from a fall.

The injured suspect was hospitalized and is in critical condition.
