Fight in York’s Penn Park Ends With One Teen Dead, Three Injured

YORK, PA – On Wednesday, the York City Police Department initiated a homicide investigation following a stabbing incident.

A 14-year-old boy, who arrived at York Hospital with stab wounds, succumbed to his injuries. The incident is believed to have occurred during a fight at Penn Park.

In addition to the deceased victim, three others, a 16-year-old boy, a 14-year-old boy, and a 15-year-old girl, also sustained injuries in the altercation.

“It is with deep sadness that the Bearcat family announces the tragic loss of one of our cherished William Penn High School students. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends affected by this heartbreaking event,” administrators at the boy’s school posted aftward. “To ensure the well-being of our staff, students, and families, a dedicated crisis team has been mobilized to provide support and guidance. They will be available over the next few days to offer assistance and help navigate this challenging period. We encourage anyone who feels the need for support or has concerns about their child’s emotional well-being to reach out to their respective School Social Worker or School Counselor.”

Detectives are actively investigating the case, and the York City Police Department asks anyone with information to come forward. Tips can be submitted anonymously.
