FREDERICK COUNTY, MD – A Frederick County man turned a routine bread purchase into a $100,000 windfall. Claiming the second of nine top prizes in the Snow Globe 7s scratch-off game, he secured the biggest prize of his decade-long lottery playing career.

The winner, who prefers to remain anonymous, is no stranger to lottery success. Both he and his wife are avid players, previously winning $50,000 each and various second-chance prizes. However, this latest win is their largest to date.

The life-changing moment happened when he stopped at Weis in Boonsboro to buy bread. Along with the bread, he bought some lottery tickets and decided to scratch them in the store. He uncovered a “7” on his Snow Globe 7s ticket, revealing the $100,000 prize. He managed to contain his excitement in the store and later revealed the win to his wife at home in a low-key manner.

The couple plans to bank their winnings, using some of it for more lottery fun.

Weis Markets #178, located at 700 Chase Six Boulevard in Washington County, where the winning ticket was purchased, will receive a $1,000 bonus from the Lottery. The Snow Globe 7s game, part of the Holiday Cash second-chance promotion, still has numerous prizes available.
