BRONX, NY – In a tragic incident, Jayden Rivera, 19, is accused of fatally stabbing three family members in Bronx, New York. The victims, identified as Rivera’s father, Jonathan Rivera, 38, his father’s girlfriend, Hanoi Peralta, 33, and his 5-year-old half-brother, Kayden Rivera, were found deceased following the attack.

The incident occurred while Jayden Rivera was babysitting his half-brother. NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny reported that Rivera, who has been undergoing psychiatric evaluation, admitted to committing the murders. Rivera allegedly returned to his mother’s home after the attack, confessing to hearing voices and fearing harm from the victims.

Investigators discovered the suspect’s blood-stained clothes at his mother’s residence. The young victim, Kayden Rivera, was found brutally attacked at the scene. Jonathan Rivera suffered a chest stab wound, while Peralta was stabbed multiple times. Evidence suggests the victims were also assaulted with a kitchen pot.

This case has deeply impacted the community and Rivera’s family, who expressed shock, noting that Rivera did not have a known history of mental illness and was a college student. Neighbors reported being disturbed by the violence, reflecting on the horror of the event in hindsight.
